Ashbrook Roofing Services has been fixing and fitting slate and tile roofs since 1978. Although predominantly operating in and around Derbyshire and the Peak District National Park, we have traveled as far as London and Dover in the South and up to Harrogate in the North. We are not only known locally for our work with private customers but also for our projects with public organizations and historic buildings such as Chatsworth Estate, Willersley Castle, several churches in the area, Derbyshire County Council, Derbyshire Fire and Rescue, and Platform Housing Group. Our experienced roofers are all directly employed by Ashbrook Roofing Services and follow our company Code of Conduct and Core Values. Our roofers have a minimum qualification of an NVQ Level 2 and strictly follow manufacturers’ guidelines and recommendations, as well as updates provided by the NFRC (National Federation of Roofing Contractors). Our roofing team is involved in monthly in-house training, specifically focusing on BS5534 and other roofing categories. We follow a strict health and safety matrix for our team, ensuring they are regularly kept up to date with asbestos awareness, working at height, abrasive wheel, awareness of silica dust, and more. We also offer an independent and bespoke service, providing in-person Roofing Reports or drone pictures and videos (for pitched or flat roofs). We have worked on hundreds of properties in conservation areas or with ‘Listed Building’ status, liaising with Natural England and The Bat Conservation Trust (www.bats.org.uk) on the safety and preservation of bats where necessary. As a member of the Competent Roofer Scheme, we are randomly audited to ensure we are working to the most current up-to-date British Standards. The scheme also allows Ashbrook Roofing Services to self-certify the completed roofing works for building regulations, eliminating the need for additional time and money spent on a separate building inspector, as required by law. At Ashbrook Roofing Services, we carry out all types of pitched roofing works, ranging from full re-roofs to small, single slate repairs. We also supply and fit all types of insulation and Velux windows. We inspect, repair, or install new timber structures, such as wall plates, timber spars, ridge boards, valley boards, etc. We dismantle and rebuild chimney stacks and undertake any other chimney repair work as required. The roofing material we use depends on the requirements of each project, but we can supply and fit natural Spanish and Welsh slates, man-made fiber cement slates, Derbyshire and Yorkshire stone slates, diminished Westmorland, Burlington, and Welsh slates, as well as clay and concrete tiles.
